Zinc

Zinc (Zn) is a bluish-white metallic element, or metal, that is a component of many alloys—metallic solids or liquids made up of two or more metals. It's usually found in combination with other elements in minerals such as sphalerite. At one time, zinc was mined in southeastern Kansas.
